Hey there, my name is Dakota Hauck
I love Jesus and his church a whole lot!
I'm called to craft words into art; Pursuing what is Beautiful, Good, & True through the lens of Jesus and sharing it in ways that inspires culture to flourish.

Sacred Wounds: Finding the Beauty, Goodness, & Truth in our pain
Where is God in the midst of our pain?
When life breaks us open—when suffering feels unbearable, when loss unravels our foundation, when old wounds linger like shadows—we’re left asking the same haunting question: Where is God in all of this? The world is not as it should be. We feel it deep in our bones. But what if our wounds—rather than signs of abandonment—are invitations?
In Sacred Wounds: Finding the Beauty, Goodness, and Truth in Our Pain, Dakota Hauck offers a tender and powerful invitation to explore the brokenness we all carry—and the God who meets us there. With honesty and compassion, this book unveils a deeper story, one where our wounds are not the end but the beginning, not proof of abandonment but invitations to grace. What if, in our deepest pain, Jesus is shaping something more beautiful than we ever imagined?
With raw honesty and unwavering hope, Sacred Wounds leads readers on a journey toward healing, showing how God does not merely erase our suffering but transforms it. Through biblical wisdom, personal reflection, and the unshakable truth of Christ’s love, this book reveals how our broken places can become sacred spaces where grace meets us, restores us, and makes us whole.

About Dakota Hauck
Hey There! I'm Dakota. My Passion is connecting with people and sharing Jesus in ways that are fresh, meaningful, and rooted in love. Over the years I've been blessed to study and teach the Bible to global missionaries through YWAM, Pastor at Water of Life Community Church, and dive deep into theology and church history while earning two master's degrees from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary.
My first book Sacred Wounds: Finding the Beauty, Goodness, and Truth in our Pain (Coming out July 1, 2025), is close to my heart - it invites readers to see how our pain and brokenness can be transformed into beauty and hope. My greatest joy is connecting with others through speaking and writing, helping people see the beauty, goodness, and truth of Jesus in every moment of our lives.
When I'm not working, you'll find me with my amazing wife, Brenda, and our two spirited kids, Kennedi and JD. We love traveling, watching sports, and sharing a laugh over IN-N-Out burger. I'd love to connect with you and your audience - it's my honor to walk this journey together.
